We are delighted to announce that two former members of the Chair of Macroeconomics have new professorships. Britta Gehrke will move to the Free University of Berlin, starting in April 2023. Heiko Stüber started as a professor at the University of Applied Labor Studies in March 2023. Congratulations to both!
Heiko Stüber was working as a senior researcher at the Chair of Macroeconomics from 2015 to 2020. From 2015 to 2020, he was a principal investigator of a joint German Research Foundation Project with Prof. Christian Merkl. He finished his Habilitation at FAU in 2021. Since then, he was tenured as Senior Researcher at the Institute for Employment Research (IAB).
Britta Gehrke worked at the Chair of Macroeconomics from 2010 to 2015. She finished her Ph.D. at FAU in 2014. From 2015 to 2020 she was Assistant Professor at FAU. From 2020 to 2022, she was a Professor at the University of Rostock.
Both researchers will remain in close touch with the Nuremberg-based labor market research. Heiko Stüber will continue to teach his Master’s course “Labor Markets: A Macroeconomic Perspective” at FAU. Both of them remain affiliated with the IAB.
